Kıskançlık nedir? Kıskançlık Neye yarar?
Kıskançlık geçmişten bugüne varlığını sürdüren kuvvetli ve evrensel bir duygudur. Kıskançlık duygusu, değer verilen bir ilişki için yarışma ortaya çıktığında gözlemlenir. Kıskançlığın karanlık yıkıcı bir tarafı olduğu kadar maddi ve manevi kaynaklarımızı korumamızı sağlayan olumlu bir yanı da vardır.
Kıskançlık bireylerin gelecek nesillere genlerinin aktarılmasını sağlayan işlevsel bir duygudur. Evrimsel açıdan kaynaklarımızı korumak ve gelecek nesillere genlerimizi aktarmada kıskançlık duygumuzdan yararlanırız.
Bütün kültürlerde kıskançlık var mıdır/Evrensel midir?
Kıskançlık bütün kültürlerde bulunur. Kültürlerin sahip olduğu inanç, değer ve tutumlar kıskançlığın ne gibi durumlarda nasıl ortaya çıkacağını belirler. Kültürler arasında kıskançlığın var olup olmadığı değil, kıskançlığın hangi olay ve durumlarda verilen tepkilerin farklılığıdır. Genel olarak cinselliğin norm kabul edildiği toplumlarda kıskançlık daha fazla ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bebeklerde çevreleriyle girdikleri etkileşimle neyi nasıl kıskanacaklarını öğrenirler.
Peki, Kıskançlık doğuştan mıdır?
Yapılan araştırmalar bebeklerin kıskançlık davranışı gösterdiğini ve kıskançlık duygusunun evrensel olduğunu göstermektedir. Kıskançlık duygusunun gelişimi üzerine kuramsal farklılıklar bulunmakla birlikte kıskançlığın bebeklerde de görüldüğü üzerine bir uzlaşım vardır.
Melanie Klein, 9 aylık bebeklerde kıskançlığın ortaya çıktığını söyler. Klein’e göre annenin göğsüne (bebek için hayati besin kaynağı) yönelik hasetlik ve kıskançlık arasında bağlantı olduğunu söyler. Bu bağlamda bebek, annesinin göğüsü (besin kaynağı) ve annenin sevgisine sahip olan babaya karşı hissettiği rekabetin kıskançlığa yol açtığını dile getirir.
Kıskançlığın Gelişimi- Hart’ın Teorik Modeli
Sosyal ilişkiler hayata adım attığımız ilk andan itibaren bizim için çok önemlidir. Yeni doğan bir bebeğin hayatta kalması için çevresindeki bireylerle kurduğu iletişimin önemi büyüktür. Çevre ile etkileşime girmede duyguların rolü fazladır. Kıskançlık, bebeklerin doğuştan sahip olduğu ve çevresiyle etkileşimde bulunmasını sağlayan duygulardan biridir.
İnsan ve hayvanlar üzerinde yapılan araştırma bulgularındaki benzerlik, kıskançlık deneyimini etkileyen faktörlerin bebeklik döneminde gözlendiğini göstermiştir. Bu durum kıskançlığın oluşmasında hem doğuştan gelen eğilimler (mizaç) hem de çevre etkisinin rol aldığı söylenebilir.
Hart’ın ortaya koyduğu modelde ilk aşamada kıskançlığın mizaç boyutunu ele alır. Kıskançlık eğilimi, gelişimin erken dönemlerinde çevreden bağımsız olarak ortaya çıkan güçlü bir olgudur. Bu kadar güçlü bir olgu olması, evrimsel süreçte bebeklerin hayatta kalmasında ve ebeveynleri ile aralarındaki bağın güçlü olmasından kaynaklanır.
Özellikle çevresinde akran olduğu bir bebeğin varlığı, ebeveyn-bebek ilişkisi için tehdit oluşturacağından kıskançlığı tetikler. Bu bağlamda kıskançlığın hayatta kalmayı ve kaynakları korumayı sağlayan amacı vardır.
İkinci aşama: Kıskançlık protestosudur. Kıskançlık protestosu; değer verilen kişinin ilgisinin kaybedilmesine verilen olumsuz tepkidir. Bebeklerin kıskançlık protestosu birbirinden çok farklı olabilir.
Bu farklılık mizaç özelliklerinden ve çevresel durumlardan kaynaklanır. Bu yönüyle kıskançlık bakıcıya yönelik erişimi korumayı sağlayan bir bağlanma davranışı olarak görülür. Üçüncü aşama rekabettir. Rekabet, kardeş ya da bir akranı (yaşıtı) ile değerli şeyin paylaşılması durumunda ortaya çıkar.
Bebeklerde kıskançlık üzerine yapılan çalışmalar
Yapılan araştırmalar bebeklerin ve küçük çocukların ebeveynlerinin birbirlerine karşı sevgi gösterdiklerinde kıskançlık duygusunun ortaya çıktığı göstermiştir. Bir araştırmalarda 12 aylık bebeklerin başka bir kadından çok kendi annelerinin “gerçeğe benzeyen” oyuncak bebeğe yöneldiklerinde de daha çok rahatsızlık duyduğunu gözlemişlerdir.
Aynı çalışmada bebekler anneleri bir kitaba değil de oyuncak bebeğe yöneldiğinde daha fazla rahatsızlık tepkileri verdiği gözlemlenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın benzeri 6 aylık bebekler üzerinde gerçekleştirildiğinde de paralel bulgular bulunmuştur. Bebeklerin gösterdiği kıskançlık tepkisi anne ilgisinden mahrum riskinden kaynaklanabileceği şeklindedir.
Bağlanma figürün dikkatini çeken nesne bir bebek olduğunda bebek için daha rahatsız edicidir ve kıskançlığın ortaya çıkmasında bağlam etkilidir. 3-6 ay arasındaki bebekler, anneleriyle heyecan verici diyaloglarda bulunan insanların davranışlarını tehdit olarak algılayarak kıskançlık gösterirken anneleri basit bir şekilde başkalarını dinlediğinde bebekler kıskançlık duygusunu göstermemişlerdir. Yapılan bu araştırmalar kıskançlığın yaşamın ilk yıllarından beri görüldüğünü göstermektedir.
