Ergenlerde Romantik İlişki
Ergenlik döneminde olan bireyler; duygusal, bilişsel, fiziksel anlamda hızlı bir gelişim ve değişim sürecine girerler.
Bu dönemde romantik ilişki anlamında da birçok değişim görülür. Romantik ilişki ve arkadaşlık ilişkileri yükselişe geçer, ebeveynlerle paylaşım azalmaya başlar. Bu durumun sebebi romantik açıdan istenir ve sevilir olmanın ergen için çok önemli bir yere sahip olmasıdır. Buna rağmen ergenler, ebeveynlerini güvenli üs olarak görmeye ve ebeveynleri tarafından desteklenme ihtiyacı duymaya devam ederler
Ergenlerin geçirdiği bu gelişim ve değişim sürecinde ailelerin anlayışlı ve kabül edici bir tavır sergilemesi önemlidir. Romantik ilişkileri aileleri tarafından çok fazla yasaklanan ve ayıplanan ergenlerde, yetişkinlik dönemine geldiklerinde güvenli bağ kuramama, uygunsuz ilişkiler kurma, aileye karşı öfke sorunları görülebilir.
Yapılan araştırmalarda;
Aileleri tarafından romantik ilişkileri desteklenen ergen bireylerin, yetişkinlik dönemine geldiklerinde samimi ve sıcak ilişkiler kurma, güvenli bağlanma, uygunsuz ilişkilerden kaçınma gibi daha sağlıklı romantik ilişkiler kurabildiği görülmüştür.
Ergenin içinde yaşadığı aile etkileşimi ve iletişimi, romantik ilişkiler üzerinde de etkili olabiliyor. Bu sebeple ailesiyle iletişimi iyi olan ergenlerin romantik ilişkilerinde de daha sağlıklı iletişim kurdukları biliniyor.
Bazı durumlarda ergenler yargılanacağı ya da cezalandırılacağı endişesiyle romantik ilişkilerini ailelerinden gizleyebilir ve kendilerine sorulduğunda anlatmaktan kaçınma davranışı gösterebilir.
Eğer ebeveynler bunun farkındaysa sıcak ve kabül edici bir yaklaşım içinde olmaları gerekir. Anlatması için ergene ceza vermek ya da baskı uygulamaktan kaçınılmalıdır.
Çünkü bu dönemde ergen, romantik ilişkilerini ve mahremini daha çok akran grubuyla paylaşmayı tercih eder. Ergen bireye karşı destekleyici bir tavır içinde olmak, anlamaya çalışmak, saygı duymak, abartmadan ve baskıcı otorite olmadan ergenin davranışlarını denetlemek faydalı olacaktır. Bu yaklaşımı gören ergenler aileleriyle ilişkileri hakkında konuşmak için kendilerini çok daha rahat hissedecektir.
